ESPN Des Moines Remembers Larry Cotlar

Our friend and colleague, Larry Cotlar, host of “Cotlar & Company,” died when he was swept away in flash floods on June 30th. He leaves behind a legacy of being one of the greatest, and most gracious men, not only in broadcasting, but in life.

This final broadcast was a way of showing love and respect to Larry. It is posted below to listen to online, download, share, and enjoy.

In passing, Larry leaves behind wife Deb, and his sons Zach and Zachary. We want to be sure their needs are met, so we are sharing the link to the GoFundMe set up by his friends.

And, another way to help, is to buy Larry’s book, “The Biggest Rolodex in Sports.” You can pick it up at the Iowa Barnstormers office for $20, with 100% of proceeds going to Larry’s family.

Final Cotlar & Company Tribute Show

Special thanks to producer Tyler Hackemiller for his tireless work putting this final broadcast together. Additional appreciation to Kate Garner, Andy Hall, Mary Sayre, Jeff Delvaux, Scott Allen, and Ryan Patrick, as well as all of the guests who took time to come in or call to remember Larry.
