BLOG #19 – Sha’Carri, NIL & Ty Dunne

I’m fascinated by the Name/Image/Likeness conversation. I could discuss this for hours because there are so many layers to it. One of the most interesting layers of NIL to me is this: Bigger markets are about to get better at football & basketball. If you’re a 5 star kid who comes from a poor background, will you go to Clemson, South Carolina or Los Angeles? Sure football is great but if you need/want to maximize your earning potential, why would you go to a small town vs a major market? Depending on your priorities, where can you make the most money for yourself and possibly for your family? Sorry, Tuscaloosa or South Bend but LA, New York City, Chicago, Dallas…they all offer me a great chance to play football or basketball, go pro AND I can cash in HUGE without really leaving the city. I think this is going to lead to a HUGE shift in college football & basketball.
